Panjeeri
Panjeeri is a traditional South Asian sweet dish that is commonly prepared in Pakistan and India. However, It is often associated with Punjabi cuisine. Panjeeri is particularly popular during the winter months and is considered a nutritious and energy-rich food.
Here we are sharing a special recipe for this special dish. To prepare it we need following ingredients:

Almond (Badam Gri) 250 grams (1 pao)

Meva Sogi Gol (Raisin) 250 grams (1 pao)

Cashew Nuts (Kajo) 125 grams (1/2 pao)

Pistachio (Pesta) 125 grams (1/2 pao)

Phool Makhana (Lotus Seeds) 125 grams (1/2 pao)

(Four seeds) Char Magaz 125 grams (1/2 pao)

Dates (Khajoor) 1/2 Kg

Walnut (Akhrot) 1/2 Kg

Whole Green Moong Dal (Sabat Moong) 1 Kg

Desi Ghee As required (almost 700 grams needed)
Method/ Preparation
First of all clean all the ingredients one by one. Then mash Whole Green Moong Dal (Sabat Moong) and use big-hole strainer.
Now put mash daal mong in pan and cook it on low to high flame until it gives brownish colour.
Take out this daal in another bowl and put some desi ghee in your pan and roast all mentioned ingredients one by one (except dates). Consequently, Chop all dry fruits one by one and mix them well in daal.
Time to prepare Shera.
Take 1/2 kg sugar, 1 glass water, 3 spoon desi ghee. Consequently move spoon until all sugar dissolved.
The ingredients are roasted in ghee and then mixed together to form a sweet and nutty mixture. Some variations may also include desiccated coconut or spices like cardamom for added flavor.

Panjeeri is often made for special occasions, celebrations, or during the postpartum period for new mothers, as it is believed to be a nourishing and strengthening food. It is considered a good source of energy due to the combination of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins from the different ingredients. However, The dish has cultural and traditional significance, and recipes may vary based on regional preferences and family traditions.
